The redesign of the Daredevil graphic novel cover “Born Again” is inspired in “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” -Joseph Campbell, 1949- . focusing on the Belly of the Whale stage. An endless cycle of death and resurrection.
The tattoo on its inked side is the representation of this whale that will always be there, waiting to devour us, the cell from which to escape. The other half without ink, is a metaphor for the breakaway.
